American Sign Language Information
Are you deaf? I’m happy you are here!
It’s important for you to have equal language access to all the evidence based information about childbirth through articles and courses. Childbirth is a special time for all families, hearing and deaf. It is my pleasure to provide childbirth education classes to you, in ASL. This time can feel scary and uncertain. You deserve full access to ALL the information in your language. It is your right to make your own educated choices about your birth experience and feel respected through the whole process.
I began learning ASL as a teenager. The majority of my sign language instruction in high school and college was provided to me by amazing deaf educators. I became a certified sign language interpreter in 2007 and have worked in Texas & South Carolina, in hospitals, universities, and for many different companies providing supportive language access for deaf and hearing clients.
Though I am not deaf, I do and always have had a deep love to connect and walk through life with you. I’m here to provide quality evidence based education and support you as you evaluate the best choices for you birth experience.
*Services in ASL and Spoken English are formatted exactly the same. The ONLY difference is language!
